ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

The strength of our structure is a result of the interrelation formed by the team networking, which is sustained and enriched by the diversity of each member's strengths.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors is the body that takes decisions and conducts the business. It defines the general policies and strategies.

It consists of 5 committees: The Audit Committee, the Compensation Committee, the Assets Management Committee, the Agriculture Committee and the Strategy Committee. Click here for a description of each.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Committee is headed by the CEO, who is seconded by executive directors and country managers. It defines the specific corporate objectives that guide the operation of the consolidation teams at corporate level and at management level in each country.

It has three Operative Committees to achieve a greater interaction among the sectors and thus to improve the decision-taking process: The Quality Committee, the Price Committee and the Risk Committee. Click here for a description of each.

At regional level, each regional management team has specific experience in the country it oversees. They have the responsibility of carrying out the implementation of the cropping annual plan, identification of new farms, technology selection, and production coordination and supervision.

The business is operated by Business Units, which are geographically ordered, and are intertwined with Support Units.

Business and Support Units

Led by a country manager and a leader in each region, Business Units deal with the production, sharing a high level of autonomy and interdependence with each other.

They provide administrative support, technical follow-up and are heads of regions and zones they visit on a daily basis to ensure that, even at a large scale, all the available knowledge is applied in order to maximize yields at planted-hectare level.

The organization and structure of the Business Units of El Tejar allow it to expand its operation by creating new agricultural units without incurring great initial or fixed expenses, increasing efficiency and ensuring the application of good practices in all farms.

In addition, the Support Units provide those services that are common to all regions. Also led by experienced administrators, they are responsible for sales and logistics, production administration, technology, accounting and administration, finance and budgeting, legal matters, IT, people development, quality, commitment to community and farm development.

Our culture promotes a commitment to excellence, ethical practices and organization innovation. Our employees’ goals are aligned with our strategy, mission and goals, which, in our opinion, maximize results.
