EL TEJAR currently manages a livestock production area in Argentina and in Uruguay where three lines of business coexist:

- CABAÑA EL TEJAR. Production of bulls and heifers for sale.

- Young bull and heifer meat production.

- Business generation and management of third-party livestock production, offering an integral solution to the owners of the lands rented by EL TEJAR and to other stakeholders of the chain as well.

For more than 20 years our strict selection systems have been “focused” on fertility, rusticity and reasonable size.

These features, together with the systematic application of selection criteria, position the CABAÑA EL TEJAR’s products as strategic productive tools due to their capacity to produce calves in any environment.

Cabaña El Tejar is a member of the Grupo Breedplan Angus Argentino and participates in the bovine genetic evaluation program run by the University of New England, Australia.

Our breeding models are developed on the soils with less productive potential, in natural farms, without exception. It is precisely there where genetics shall leverage production and accompany the environment conditions.

A cattle auction is held every year in Saladillo, where a selection of our breeders may be acquired, together with the Breedplan information.

Cabaña El Tejar is synonymous with genetics that yields results.

Meat and food trading

Since 1993 and for more than 15 years we have been engaged in the business of meat and food trade. We traded meat under CABAÑA EL TEJAR brand in the domestic as well as in the foreign market. For a period of two years we exported CABAÑA EL TEJAR meat to both Chile and Brazil.
