20/01/2011 - We are proud to say that PESCAR Foundation, the Trenque Lauquen Rural Association and El Tejar’s network began to bear fruits… the first group from PESCAR Center celebrated their graduation.
The agricultural activity training project for young people (16 to 23) started off last April with the aim of providing them with tools for joining the job market easily. Furthermore, the proposal helps increase the number of skilled rural workers and thus fill vacant positions on that area.
Eleven youngsters received intense training in agricultural topics while they strengthened their values as regards effort, citizenship and team working. They were trained on how to operate seeders and sprayers, they visited dairy farms and cattle ranches and they also took courses on economy and citizenship matters.
Relatives, friends, neighbors who cooperated in this project, and the whole producers’ community of Trenque Lauquen all congregated at the graduation celebration, which was a real party!
We want to thank teachers Jorge Díaz and Lía Grossi for their cooperation. We also wish to express gratitude to Diego Casaretto and the whole team of El Tejar (Western region) as their participation was fundamental to the program's success.
The project was a real challenge for PESCAR Foundation, the Rural Association and El Tejar: a goal that encourages us to go even further!
