19/11/2011 - Our Country Manager was honored as "Honorary Citizen" of Primavera do Leste, Brazil.

Javier Angió was taken by surprise during the opening of 2011/12 harvest period held in the Agulhon Hotel Event Center by the President of the City Councilor Chamber, Felipe Nogueira, representing Mayor Getulio Viana as well, when the former honored him as "Honorary Citizen of Primavera do Leste”. The title is in recognition of the election of the municipality as O TELHAR Group’s venue, as well as for his tireless work as head of the company and the huge social contribution to the Mato Grosso state.

Led by Angió, O TELHAR carries on an efficient internship work bringing technological know how to the students of Technical-agricultural Schools of Mato Grosso. It has developed the “Mata Live and Environmental Education” program in public schools of the municipality and in APAE (Parents Association). With the support of the local government -through the Secretary of Education- and together with BASF, with the strategic management of the Espacio Eco Foundation, they provide thus environmental education to thousands of students from the municipality and the region.

The official title-giving ceremony was held on November 16, in which the President of the Chamber, Nogueira, pointed out, as criterion for the recognition, the community leadership of the guest of honor and his ability to contribute to a better city, concerning both economic and social matters.
